Skiing is minutes away at Lee Canyon located in the Spring Mountain Range and Toiyabe National Forest.
Watch this video for a peek at the snowy fun.

If you thought Las Vegas was nothing but desert, think again! Mt. Charleston is home to a seasonal waterfall, and tends to be 30-35 degrees cooler than other areas.

You can find Mt. Charleston 40 miles northwest of Las Vegas, situated in the Spring Mountain Range and Toiyabe National Forest. Lee Canyon is a few miles away.

With an elevation of 12,000 feet, Mt. Charleston ranks among the nation’s top 10 highest mountains.

Don’t be surprised to see native animals like songbirds, wild burros, wild horses, desert tortoises, and deer scurrying about.

You may be in Las Vegas, but you’ll feel like you just stepped into a nature show!

BRISTLECONE TRAIL

Get away from the heat in the summer time. Take the trailhead by the ski lodge for the best hike. It has the beautiful scenery. You will see the Bristlecone pine trees which are only found on the higher mountains. And maybe you will see some wild horses.
